On Friday, 30 January 2015, the company Westtech in cooperation with the heating technology specialist Hargassner is organising a demonstration of the subject of wood fuel in which Pfanzelt machines were also put through their paces in practical applications. In addition to live harvesting demonstrations in a stand of poplars, there will also be lots of information events on the subject of wood fuel. The forwarding of harvested material will be performed by Pfanzelt forestry machines. In addition to a Pfanzelt 11 tonne forwarding trailer, which will be hitched to a digger with felling unit from Westtech, the new Pm Trac III multipurpose tractor will also be on show. The Pm Trac will be equipped with the woodZIPPER forwarding trailer so that the harvested material can be transported ergonomically and economically and to minimise damage to the ground. The compacted wood fuel – branches, tree tops or wood fuel from short cycle plantations – stacked on the woodZIPPER with two hydraulically actuated clamping stanchions – increases the material quantity per trip by around a third.
